【摘要】:WARNING—Handlingandmanipulationofmicroorganismswhicharepotentiallyhazardousrequiresahighdegreeoftechnicalcompetenceandmaybesubjecttocurrentnationallegislationandregulations.Onlypersonneltrainedinmicrobiologicaltechniquesshouldcarryoutsuchtests.Appropriatepracticesfordisinfection,sterilizationandpersonalhygienemustbestrictlyobserved.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodofevaluatingtheantibacterialactivityofantibacterial-treatedplasticproducts(includingintermediateproducts).NOTEItmayalsobesuitableforothernon-porousmaterials.Itisnotintendedtobeusedtoevaluatetheeffectsandpropagationofbacteriaonplasticswithoutantibacterialtreatments.ISO846[6]describesteststoevaluatetheeffectsandpropagationofbacteriaonplastics,whicharedifferentfromthosecoveredbythisInternationalStandard.ThosewhoareinterestedarereferredtoISO846:1997,methodC.Secondaryeffectsofantibacterialtreatments,suchasthepreventionofbiodeteriorationandodour,arenotcoveredbythisInternationalStandard,whichisnotintendedtobeusedorreferencedasamethodtodocumentorclaimbiodegradabilityofplastics.Forbiodegradation,refertoISO14851,ISO14852andISO14855(seetheBibliography)andrelatedstandards.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotconcernplasticbuildingmaterials,suchasPVCorcomposites,unlesstheyactinthesamewayastreatedarticles.AnyresultsobtainedwiththisInternationalStandardshouldalwaysrefertothisstandardandtheconditionsused.ResultsobtainedwiththisInternationalStandardindicateantibacterialactivityunderthespecifiedexperimentalconditionsusedherein,anddonotreflectactivityunderothercircumstanceswhereavarietyoffactors,suchastemperature,humidity,differentbacterialspecies,nutrientconditions,etc.,havetobeconsidered.Aminimumdiffusionoftheantibacterialagents/chemicalsintothetestinoculumisnecessarywiththisprocedure.ItisrecommendedthatworkersconsultISO7218.
