【摘要】:Thisclassificationisapplicabletoallpetroleum-basefluidlubricantsandtothosenonpetroleummaterialswhichmaybereadilyblendedtoproducefluidlubricantsofadesiredviscosity,thatis,lubricantsforbearings,gears,compressorcylinders,hydraulicfluids,etc.1.2Thisclassificationisapplicabletofluidsranginginkinematicviscosityfrom2to3200cSt(mm/s)asmeasuredatareferencetemperatureof40?C.Inthecategoryofpetroleum-basefluids,thiscoverstherangefromkerosinetoheavycylinderoils.1.3Fluidsofeitherlesserorgreaterviscositythantherangedescribedin1.2are,atpresent,seldomusedasindustriallubricants.Shouldindustrialpracticeschange,thenthissystem,basedonamathematicalseriesofnumbers,maybeextendedtoretainitsorderlyprogression.
